Keep a copy first
If you want your pages outside the app before you remove them, open Continuity’s settings and choose Export All Pages. Export writes one plain-text file with a heading for each day. Put it somewhere you control. Deleting the app later does not touch that file.
Remove the journal from a device
- If the vault is on, turn it off first so you are not left with sealed pages you cannot open elsewhere.
- Delete Continuity from the device the way you delete any app. This removes every page, Mood word, Atlas entry, and setting stored on that device.
- Repeat on each device where Continuity is installed. A device that still has the app keeps its copy of the journal.
Sample pages, the four years of made-up pages you can add from settings, are removed with Remove Sample Pages in the same place. Removing them leaves your own pages alone.
Remove the journal from iCloud
Deleting the app does not delete what iCloud holds; your other devices would download it again. iCloud data is deleted from your Apple Account settings, not from us, and the exact path varies by operating-system version.
- On iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, then the storage management view (Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage). On a Mac, open System Settings, click your name, then iCloud, then Manage.
- Find Continuity in the list of apps using iCloud and choose to delete its data from iCloud.
- Then delete the app from each device, as above, so no device uploads the journal again.
Apple’s iCloud storage guide describes the current steps for each platform. Continuity stores in the private database of your iCloud account, which we cannot see or reach, so we cannot delete it for you.
The morning notice
Deleting the app also removes any scheduled morning notices. If you keep the app but no longer want them, turn off Morning Notice in Continuity’s settings, or turn off notifications for Continuity in the device’s notification settings.
Ask us to delete what we hold
The only personal information we ever hold is support mail. To have it deleted, email support@supersimple.app with the subject “Data deletion request” from the address you wrote to us from. We may ask a question to confirm the request is yours, and we will confirm when it is done, within the period required by law.
Applicable law may permit or require us to retain limited records to document that a request was completed, to comply with legal obligations, or to resolve a dispute.
